Boxing Champion Hatton’s betting odds

Quite a few betting odds on Ricky Hatton have come up on him beating other possible boxing opponents, after his victory over Juan Lazcano in Manchester last Saturday night. Despite his nervousness, he managed to obtain his IBO light-welterweight title over Lazcano in front of 55,000 fans.

The different verdicts of the judges for the fight were 120-110, 118-110, 120-108 for Hatton, and although the boxer showed a lot of agression and dominance during the fight, Lazcano came close to throwing his opponent on the canvas during the 8th and 10th round.

The next big fight is to be held in autumn; Paulie Malignaggi versus Ricky Hatton, a.k.a the Hitman. Betting odds with Ladbrokes say that Hitman is 1/4 to beat Malignaggi, also 8/11 to Beat Oscar De La Hoya and 3/1 to beat his archenemy Floyd Mayweather by the end of 2009.

Further odds offer 4/11 that the Hitman beats Junior Witter, and also 2/1 that he beats Manny Pacquaio, both of them by December 31st, 2009. Robin Hutchinson, a Ladbrokes spokesman said: “We saw nothing in Malignaggi’s fight to suggest he’d beat Ricky.”
