Great news for the Spanish fans of Sports and Gambling since the announcement made in these days about the soon opening of what will be the first Sports betting agency in the country. This project will be possible thanks to the association of the companies Codere and the British William Hill and it will create 300 jobs to start.
The betting house will be located in Madrid, specifically in the zone known as Paseo de la Castellana, in the proximities of the famous soccer stadium Santiago Bernabeu. There, players could follow the different sports and control their bets through TV screens available inside, nevertheless, this will not be the only place to place bets as 70 other betting points will be opened in the Community
Although the agency will take bets over several sports, it is expected that most of the bets will be placed by soccer fans, which is the most popular sport in the country. Other sports available for betting include tennis, rugby, basketball, cycling, Formula 1 and horse races.
This project will be the first step for the development of Sports betting in Spain, since it has been announced that other operators of the gambling industry have shown their interest of investing in the sector, among them Intralot Iberia and the brand Sportium, formed by Cirsa and Landbrokers. Therefore, it is expected that by the end of the year, almost a hundred of agencies of this kind will open in the Community.
